Finding Your Happy Place: A 4-week hands-on exploration into reflection, resilience, and creativity
Starting January 5, 2026
January is a strange month.
The holidays end, the lights come down, and life suddenly becomes quiet. The days are short. Energy dips. Many people feel heavier, more emotional, or simply unmotivated.
January is often the month when mood and wellbeing take the biggest hit. Psychological research shows that reduced daylight and disrupted routines can affect mood, energy, and motivation.
But January also gives us something special:
a natural pause, a moment to reset, reflect, and begin again.
That’s exactly why this is the perfect time to start Finding Your Happy Place.
This course isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about creating a gentle structure for reflection, resilience, and creative reconnection during a demanding season.

This is an online pilot course — intentionally small and iterative.
We’ll explore together.
We’ll learn together.
We’ll start the year together.
My hope is that by the end of January, you feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded — with a renewed sense of possibility for the year ahead.
How the course works
Each week has a theme that builds on the last:
Week 1
Understanding Yourself Through Life Challenges
Why you feel the way you do, what shapes your inner world, and how to meet yourself with honesty.
Week 2
Cultivating Resilience and Self Compassion
Learning to soften self-criticism, handle emotional dips, and strengthen your internal support system.
Week 3
Creativity as a Tool for Personal Growth
Using simple creative exercises to access clarity, perspective, and emotional release.
Week 4
Finding Your Happy Place
Identifying what brings you calm, joy, alignment — and building practices to return to it any time.
The first week focuses on reflection — understanding your life experiences and how they’ve shaped your inner world. The second week builds resilience and self-compassion, creating the emotional stability needed to support change. Creativity then opens space for reconnection, perspective, and new ways of relating to yourself. In the final week, everything comes together — you decide what works best for you and shape practices you can return to, so the work continues beyond the course.
- Reflection helps you understand.
- Resilience helps you stabilize.
- Creativity helps you reconnect.
- Integration helps you identify what works for you.
Weekly Rhythm
Every week follows a gentle, steady flow:
Days 1–5:
Explore your guided worksheet on your own — a blend of reflection prompts, creative practices, and small experiments you can weave into your day.
Day 6:
A personal pause. Time to reflect, rest, and let the week’s insights settle.
Day 7 (Sunday):
A live group call — a supportive space to share, listen, ask questions, and deepen the week’s theme together.
Additional Support (Optional)
You’ll also have the option to schedule two 30-minute one-on-one calls with me:
- One in Week 1 or 2
To set intentions, personalize your journey, and receive tailored guidance. - A second call in Week 3 or 4, or anytime afterward
To integrate your insights and support your next steps.
These are completely optional but often deeply helpful.

Who this course is for
This course is for you if:
- You’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained
and you want a gentle reset rather than another push to “do more.” - You’re going through a transition — in identity, career, relationships, or simply how you feel inside —
and you’re looking for steadiness and direction. - You’re tired of carrying everything on your own
and crave a small, supportive group where it’s safe to show up as you are. - You want time and space to reflect
but don’t know where to start or how to structure that reflection. - You’re a creative spirit — or someone who used to be — who feels stuck
and you’re longing to reconnect with inspiration, expression, or the part of you that once felt alive and imaginative. - You’re curious about creativity as a tool for emotional wellbeing
even if you don’t think of yourself as “creative.” - You want 2026 to feel different — calmer, clearer, more grounded, more purposeful—
and you’re willing to give yourself a month of intentional practice. - You’re drawn to learning in a quiet, thoughtful, human way
without pressure, judgment, or performance.
This is a gentle course for gentle people —
for anyone who wants to reconnect with themselves, rebuild resilience, and begin the year with intention.
Finding Your Happy Place is designed with the challenges of midlife in mind — shaped both by my own lived experiences and by the insights from my research dissertation, Lived Experiences of Depression and Overcoming Depression in Midlife.
The emotional shifts, identity questions, and transitions that often surface during midlife are specific, significant, and deeply human. While shaped with midlife in mind, this course is open to anyone who it speaks to.
The themes we explore — reflection, resilience, creativity, grounding, and reconnecting with yourself — belong to all of us, at any age.
If something in these words feels familiar or comforting, you are welcome here.
What You’ll Need
- The free Teams app, where our weekly calls and small group community will meet

- Curiosity, openness, and a little time each week to care for your emotional world and be surprised by what you discover
- Commitment to yourself and this process, even on the days it feels a little hard
Enrollment & Pricing
Let me be completely transparent with you.
I struggled with pricing this program. Truly.
I kept asking myself: How do you put a number on the time, care, and heart that go into something like this?
Something built on my own lived experience, informed by years of study and research, and shaped through never-ending brainstorming, restless nights, and countless unseen sacrifices along the way.
And so I found myself going in circles.
I looked at the worksheets I designed, the weekly calls I’ll be hosting, the Teams community, and the support I’ll be offering each week — and I kept struggling.
I wanted the price to reflect the effort behind it while still keeping it accessible, especially as this is a pilot course.
Balancing those things was harder than I expected. And layered on top of all that was my own experience with coaching.
I know the coaching landscape well. I’ve taken plenty of classes myself. And each time, I watched the price jump the moment a group call, let alone a personal call, was included. I could never afford the personal-call option, and that stayed with me.
So when I created this course, I wanted people to have access to the kind of support I once needed but couldn’t reach.
With all of that in mind, here’s the value I came up with for each part on its own:
Guided Weekly Worksheets
$50 each × 4 weeks → $200
Ongoing Support via Teams Chat
$10 per day × 28 days → $280
Weekly Live Group Sessions (60 minutes each)
$100 per call × 4 → $400
Optional 1:1 Support (30 minutes each)
$150 per session × 2 → $300
Total Program Value: $880
Total Program Value Including 1:1 Support: $1,180

Why so low?
- Because this is a pilot program.
- Because I want this work to reach people, not intimidate them.
- Because I want the barrier to entry to be small and the impact to be meaningful.
- Because we are building this together, and that matters to me.
You’ll receive nearly $900 worth of support (or $1,200 with the optional 1:1 sessions) for $49
That’s $1.75 a day to fill your emotional cup, every day for 28 days.
No upsell. No hidden tiers. No pressure.
Just a gentle, guided, hands-on exploration into your happy place at a price that feels right for this beginning.
And if you feel called to be part of this pilot but you truly can’t afford the $49, let me know.
Pilot members will be invited to leave a short review at the end of the program.
Your reflections will help me improve and support future students who may benefit from this work.
Sometimes this work opens a door to further growth and exploration.
If you feel drawn to continue in a 1:1 space, we can explore what that might look like together after this program.
It’s important to note that this course is not a replacement for therapy or medical care.
It’s a psychology-informed, reflective program designed to support people navigating seasonal low mood, burnout, and identity shifts, especially when winter amplifies what’s already there.
Psychological research shows that when we slow down enough to understand our inner patterns, build self-compassion, and stay engaged with life in small, meaningful ways, our experience of low mood can begin to shift.
When energy drops, our thinking often narrows. We withdraw, become self-critical, and lose access to perspective.
Evidence-informed cognitive and behavioral approaches suggest that self-awareness without self-criticism, supportive routines, and creative engagement can help restore can help restore perspective, momentum, and emotional balance.
This course offers a structured yet gentle way to explore those shifts through reflection, resilience-building, and creativity. It helps you reconnect with what brings you calm, clarity, and a sense of alignment, and create practices you can return to without pressure or perfectionism.
If you’re ready to explore a steady, thoughtful way to move through winter and into what comes next, I invite you to join the January pilot of Finding Your Happy Place:

How is this course different?
This course doesn’t push for quick fixes or predefined outcomes. It works through reflection, resilience, and creative exploration to help you understand how you relate to yourself — and how to return to alignment when life pulls you away.
To support this kind of work, the course is intentionally designed as:
- A small group, allowing for a more personal experience
- A private, contained space, rather than a large social media group
- A no-pressure, non-judgmental environment to share and learn from each other
- A quieter pace, allowing insight to emerge without pressure
How am I different from other coaches?
I don’t work from formulas or promises of transformation. My approach is grounded in lived experience, psychological understanding, and creative reflection. I guide people to slow down, notice patterns, and reconnect with themselves — without pressure, judgment, or the need to perform.
About me
As a lifelong learner with multiple lived experiences — including a lifelong artistic practice and over 20 years of experience in technology — I’ve spent my life trying to make sense of my inner world and the world around us. While navigating my own midlife challenges, I returned to school and completed an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing to better support myself and others. In my work as a wellbeing coach, I help people navigate change and move toward lives that feel more aligned, spacious, and meaningful.
Share this course with someone you know who might need it, find it helpful, or appreciate it — or gift it to them.
If this feels like a good fit but the timing isn’t right, you’re welcome to email me to join the waiting list for a future group.
I also offer the course in private groups by request, for people who would like to experience it together with friends, family, or small teams, in a contained setting.
